Hunter grew up in Winston Salem, NC and loved the south and loved being a tar heel. He made a decision to move to the “mysterious” land of snow and cold in Minnesota for college and to pursue a love of music and get a degree in music at Crown College. Upon graduation with a degree in music He made the decision to continue his education there for another year and finished his pastoral studies degree and ended up pastoring churches in South Dakota, northern Minnesota and southwestern Minnesota. It was in southwestern Minnesota that Hunter decided to get his master’s degree in business and began to work in the adventurous world of business, spending more than 10 years in the dealership world, working in finance and insurance.
In 2010 Hunter began to work part-time for Matt Sederstrom and Honest 1 Eagan in marketing and operations support. He shifted to doing this full-time in 2011 as the business grew and his enjoyment for the work grew as well. During that period they opened stores in Anoka and Uptown. In 2013 they began the process of opening the Maple Grove location. In 2015 Matt and Hunter partnered as Regional Developers for Honest 1 in Wisconsin. The have a store in development at this time and it is currently slated for opening in the spring of 2016.
Hunter brings 30+ years of experience in working in leadership positions and team development and mentoring. According to Hunter “he most important lesson I’ve learned in my years as a leader, pastor and businessman is that patience, an open mind and perspective are keys to a successful career and a deep desire to never stop learning is a must!” Today Hunter is President of Seed Inc., operating 4 stores in Minnesota and anticipating a brand new opening in Wisconsin in the spring of 2016.
